I joined Passacaglia back in 1996 – it’s a brilliantly flexible group and we’ve performed all over the UK, in Europe and the US. We’ve made five CDs too, and there are plans for a few more. Visit www.passacaglia.com for much more – concert diary, biographies, photos, videos and recordings.
I’ve been a core member of Feinstein Ensemble since 2010 – we play regularly at the stunning St Martin-in-the-Fields church, Trafalgar Square, London. We also decamp to King’s Place in London (and formerly the South Bank Centre) for the always-rewarding Bach Weekend.
Art of Moog
Art of Moog grew jointly out of my lifelong love of synthesizers, and a post-concert conversation in the pub with two Bach devotees. We pay homage to Wendy Carlos’s 1968 album Switched-on Bach but go much further. We use instruments by Moog, Dave Smith Instruments, Tom Oberheim, Nord, Roland, Akai, Electro-Harmonix and others. Our official debut was in April 2018 at King’s Place in London. We have more dates coming up in 2018 and 2019.
Jennifer Morsches is principal cellist in Florilegium, and we collaborate in duo programmes particularly based around works by CPE Bach, Francesco Alborea, Alessandro Scarlatti and others, with Jennifer playing conventional cello as well as the 5-string piccolo cello. We recorded an album together along with guest musicians David Miller (lute) and Jane Gower (bassoon).
